Once Upon a Time

We grow up.
People separated.
Heart torn apart.
We grow up.

We were innocence.
In the mornings when we think about nothing but our friends' names and what kind of game that we were going to play along.
In the afternoons when we were climbing the biggest tree around the block.
In the evenings when we were trying to catch fireflies in the fields, not far from home.
And later at nights when we cuddled in our bed and there's always someone who covered us up with a warm blanket.
We were innocence.

We are here.
Growing up, surrender to the time that makes us older than yesterday.
Trying to standing with our own two feet.
Sometimes we stumble and fall.
Sometimes, somehow, some thing drag us down to the core.
We cry, we grasp for air.
We wish that we won't be suffocated.
By the thing that we called as monster that chained us down and hide on the back of our mind.
It stays, won't go.
Then say,
"We are here."

Scared? Me too.
But, don't you remember?
At least, we were innocence.
Once upon a time.

When monster was only an antagonist character from bedtime stories..
